What is IELTS?

IELTS, which stands for International English Language Testing System, is a widely recognized English language proficiency test. It is designed to assess the English language skills of individuals who want to study, work, or migrate to countries where English is the primary language of communication

Two Types of Tests

IELTS Academic: For people applying for higher education or professional registration in an English-speaking environment.

IELTS General Training For those looking to migrate to an English-speaking country (such as the UK, Australia, Canada, or New Zealand) or apply for secondary education, training programs, or work experience.

Four Skills Tested

  • Listening: 30 minutes
  • Reading: 60 minutes
  • Writing: 60 minutes
  • Speaking: 11–14 minutes

Scoring

  • The test is scored on a band scale from 0 to 9, with 9 being the highest level of proficiency. Get Instant Score

Global Recognition
